Family & sitter sharing

You're away.
Their care stays
together.

If your pet seems unwell while you're away, you want the person looking after them to know their routine, their medications, and who to call. Koro keeps those details close—and the people caring for them on the same page.

When something feels different

Less piecing things together
from messages and memory.

Whether you're a flight away or just at work, a shared care history helps the next person pick up where you left off.

Did they get their medication?

Keep dose instructions and recorded doses together. Shared logs show who recorded the care, giving the next person something to check before the next dose.

Is this new for them?

Keep symptoms, observations, and health logs with your pet's history. A sitter can record what they notice in the sections you share, and you can look back at those entries while away.

Who can the sitter call?

Save your regular vet, emergency hospital, and family contacts with the rest of your pet's care information. Share those sections so the sitter knows where to find the numbers.

The people who know them best

Make care a shared routine.

Bring your partner or family into the same household in Koro. Give each person the role that fits how they help.

For hands-on help

Co-Manager

For a partner or family member who shares the day-to-day work. They can help log care, maintain records, and upload documents, so keeping things current doesn't all fall to you.

For staying informed

View Only

For a family member who needs to follow along. They can read care history and see who logged what, without changing entries or adding care logs.

Invite family from Account → Household → Manage Members. Care logs show who recorded them. Expense records stay between the household owner and Co-Managers.

A sitter's own place in the loop

Share what they need.
For as long as they need it.

A weekend away and an ongoing arrangement need different access. You decide which parts of your pet's care a sitter can see and when that access ends.

Choose the care sections to share

  • Daily tasks
  • Feeding instructions & meal logs
  • Medications & doses
  • Allergies & warnings
  • Vet & family emergency contacts
  • Conditions, tracking & symptoms
  • Weight history & quality of life
  • Vaccinations
  • Documents & test results

Sitters can record supported day-to-day care in the sections you share. Prescriptions, clinical records, and contacts remain managed by your household. Sitters cannot access household expenses.

Sitter invitations are a Koro Pro feature. Your plan's benefits are shown in the app.

  1. Invite them by email

As the household owner, open Account → Household → Invite Sitter. Your sitter signs in to Koro with the invited email and joins the invitation, using their own account.

  2. Choose what they can see

Share the care sections that matter for the stay. Include the routines, medication details, warnings, and contacts you want them to have at hand.

  3. Choose when access ends

Pick a day, a week, a specific end date, or ongoing access. With an end date, access stops automatically. Manage Members lets you change permissions, adjust the end date, or remove access sooner.

  4. Keep a shared record of the stay

Your sitter can log permitted meals, doses, tasks, and observations. Supported shared records sync when connected, and entries carry the name of the person who recorded them.

If a vet visit can't wait

Give the vet
a starting point.

Your sitter may be meeting a vet who has never seen your pet before. An Emergency Summary PDF brings key saved details together, so they have something clear to hand over.

Create it in Account → Emergency Handoff → Emergency Summary. Save it, print it, or share it before you leave.

A summary they can take with them

  • Pet details, allergies, and medical conditions
  • Medications, schedules, and recorded recent doses
  • Vet, emergency hospital, and family contacts
  • Relevant saved health, feeding, and vaccination details

Add the owner's contact details and a note about what happened for that handoff. The PDF can be read offline.

The summary includes only information the person creating it can access. Original veterinary documents are shared separately. Review the details before sharing and make a new copy when records change. Recipients can keep exported copies after app access ends.

Before you head out

A little preparation.
A more familiar routine.

Walk your sitter through the plan together. Make sure they can find the details, use their own account, and know how to reach you.

Need help with an invitation? →
  • Check medication instructions, allergies, and contact numbers.
  • Confirm the sitter has joined and can see the sections they need.
  • Check reminders on their phone; settings apply to each device.
  • Share a current Emergency Summary and any original files they may need.
  • Agree how they should contact you if something changes.

For urgent health concerns, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service directly. Koro organizes care information; it does not contact a vet or authorize treatment on your behalf.
