1. About these terms
Olive Studios provides Koro, an iOS app for organizing pet care and records, and the website at https://koro.olivestudios.io (the Service). These Terms of Service govern your use of the Service, including testing before public launch. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. Contact us at koro@olivestudios.io with questions.

2. Your account
Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and use an account you are authorized to control. Koro may require email verification before access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly telling us about suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or use the Service for unlawful purposes. If you use Koro for someone else or an organization, you must have authority to do so. You must meet the age requirements of the App Store and applicable law; if you cannot legally enter these terms on your own, a parent or guardian must authorize your use where permitted.
3. Pet care and medical information
Koro helps organize information and routines. It is not a veterinarian, veterinary practice, medical device, emergency service, or substitute for professional veterinary advice. Records, reminders, calculations, document extraction, summaries, and optional AI responses may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Review imported and generated information before saving or relying on it. Confirm medication names, doses, units, schedules, allergies, lab results, and treatment decisions with a qualified veterinarian. Do not change treatment based only on Koro or delay seeking professional care. Contact a veterinarian or an appropriate emergency service for urgent concerns.
You remain responsible for your pet's care and for keeping any independent records or reminders you need. Device settings, permissions, connectivity, synchronization, and system behavior can affect reminder delivery and data availability.
4. Your content and sharing
You retain ownership of the records, photos, documents, notes, and other content you provide. You give Olive Studios permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the Service and carry out the sharing and processing you request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload content, including personal information or veterinary documents about another person or pet.
Review household roles, sitter access, invitations, exports, and recipients before sharing. People you authorize can access the information permitted by your settings. Recipients may keep copies of exported files or reports. Removing access cannot recall copies already saved elsewhere. Keep your own backups of important records. Availability of synchronization and sharing depends on the feature and app version.
5. Optional AI features
Where available, cloud AI features require the AI Data Sharing permission described in the app and Privacy Policy. You may decline or withdraw that permission through Account → Data & Privacy → AI Data Sharing. On-device processing and ordinary record keeping do not require permission to send content to OpenAI. AI output can be inaccurate and must be reviewed; it does not constitute professional advice. Do not submit content you are not entitled to send. Usage allowances, supported formats, availability, and technical limits are disclosed in the app and may differ by plan or feature. A request may be refused or limited for security, safety, capacity, or allowance reasons.
6. Free features, subscriptions, and purchases
Koro may offer free features, optional Koro Pro subscriptions, and consumable purchases such as Chat Boost. Available benefits, billing periods, prices, currencies, taxes, trial eligibility, and usage limits are shown in the app and Apple's purchase confirmation before you buy. Monthly and annual plans, when offered, are billed for the selected period. Do not purchase unless you agree with the terms shown at checkout. A subscription does not guarantee unlimited AI use; any applicable allowances are disclosed separately.
- Apple processes App Store purchases and charges your Apple account when you confirm a purchase, or as otherwise disclosed for an eligible trial or offer.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew for the selected billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple's applicable rules. Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, its length and the price and period that follow it are disclosed before confirmation. Cancel through Apple before the trial renewal deadline if you do not want to be charged. Any unused portion of a trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, as provided by Apple's rules.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account's subscription settings. Cancellation generally stops the next renewal; access continues through the period Apple shows for your purchase. Deleting Koro or deleting your Koro account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refund requests and billing disputes for App Store purchases are handled through Apple, subject to Apple's policies and your statutory rights. These terms do not remove any refund or consumer rights required by law.
- Use Restore Purchases for supported subscriptions with the Apple account used to purchase them. Koro may also require the original Koro account to prevent the same purchase being claimed by multiple accounts. Contact support if you need help.
- Consumable purchases are separate from subscriptions, do not automatically renew, and are not restored through the subscription Restore Purchases control. Their amount, intended use, and any applicable conditions are disclosed before purchase.
7. Apple app license and third-party services
The license to the iOS app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These service terms supplement that license and do not replace it. Apple is not responsible for providing Koro's support or maintenance. Third-party services, including Apple, Google/Firebase, Customer.io, and authorized cloud AI providers, are subject to their own applicable terms. You must comply with the rules of services you choose to use. No third-party service guarantees Koro's availability or the accuracy of your records or generated output.
8. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not misuse the Service, upload unlawful or infringing content, harass others, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security or purchase/usage controls, interfere with the Service, distribute malicious code, or use another person's information without permission. Do not extract, reproduce, or distribute the app or its branding except as permitted by the app license or applicable law. Olive Studios and its licensors retain rights in the Service's software, design, branding, and other materials, apart from content you own.
9. Service changes and availability
Koro is in development, and features may vary by version, device, region, plan, or testing stage. We may update, correct, limit, or discontinue features to maintain the Service or address safety, security, legal, or technical needs. We will provide notice and honor applicable purchase and consumer obligations where required. Do not rely on Koro as your only copy of important information or as a guaranteed reminder or emergency system.
10. Account deletion and suspension
You can request account deletion in Account → Data & Privacy → Delete Account, subject to identity verification. Household owners should review the warning that deletion removes the owned household and its shared pet data. Records in someone else's household and copies already shared may remain. Our Privacy Policy describes deletion, retention, and any information that may remain for security, legal, or operational reasons. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, unauthorized access, security threats, or violations of these terms or applicable law. Where appropriate and permitted, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact support. Suspension and deletion do not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; manage it through Apple.
11. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided as available, without a promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. You are responsible for checking your content and decisions and for seeking professional veterinary advice. To the extent permitted by law, Olive Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to fraud, negligence, or defective digital services where applicable.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Service changes and will revise the date above. We will provide notice of material changes and seek agreement where required by law. Changes do not replace any separate consent required for new uses of personal information. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the Service, export any information you need, and cancel any subscription separately through Apple.
